Eight people were arrested in Dalton Wednesday night after "attempting to hire a prostitute," said Bruce Frazier, a spokesman for the Dalton Police Department.Frazier said in a press release that an undercover officer posed as a prostitute. He said in recent months detectives have received complaints of prostitutes operating in the area. He said investigators placed an ad online and the individuals agreed to meet the undercover officer at an apartment in Dalton.In an interview, Frazier said he could not say where the ad appeared.
